FDCI x Lakme Fashion week has kickstarted in the capital for the very first time and it is scheduled to run from 23rd March to 27th March at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium. With a glut of designers showcasing their collection, this season’s going to be power-packed and full-blown after two years.
HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT
While the opening day was followed by Rahul Mishra’s perfect summer palette and extravagant florals, here’s what more to expect in the coming days.
DAY 1- With a lot more focus on sustainability and conservation, experience couture with Shriya Khanna, Sonal Verma- Shruti Sancheti, Alpana Neeraj, Samant Chauhan, Shantanu Nikhil, Quintessential by Varun Bahl, Atelier opening by Outhouse. At Pioneering Eco-couture with Tencel Luxe, JJ Valaya, and PETA India, you may also take part in a thought-provoking discussion on the environment and fashion.
DAY 2- The renowned Circular Design Challenge, a brainchild of R|ElanTM in collaboration with FDCI X Lakmé Fashion Week, will make a comeback this season. BembergTM x Payal Pratap, Vaishali S Couture, Adidas Originals x Antar-Agni and Khanijo, FDCI Khadi Show featuring Mossi Traoré, a French-Malian designer, and leading Indian designers Abhishek Gupta Benares, Anavila, Anju Modi, Charu Parashar, and Rina Dhaka are among the highlights of Sustainable Fashion Day.
DAY 3- Look out for Jajaabor, Aisha Rao, Nikita Mhaisalkar, Kaveri, Rajdeep Ranawat and Ashish N Soni. This day will be an eye-catching combination of colours, textures, and all things amazing. The closing show will be led by Manish Malhotra.
DAY 4- Eshaa Amin, Nirmooha, Punit Balana, Ranna Gill, Pankaj & Nidhi, Bata x Suneet Varma, and John Jacobs x Shivan & Narresh are among the designers showcasing on Day 4. Ananya Modi Jain, the winning designer, will present her NBA 75 collection. Tarun Tahiliani will bring a warm end to the day.
DAY 5- Allow aLL – The Plus Size Store to surprise you on Sunday when it returns to the platform to host a plus-size show. Also, don’t miss 6 Degree, Abhishek Sharma, FDCI x Pearl Academy First Cut, and Siddartha Tytler’s showcases. The closing show will be brought upon by Falguni Shane Peacock escorting a successful end to this season.
