Keep yourself hydrated
Regular intake of water is a must. 10-15 glasses per day. It can be in any form whether it’s soup, juice, or smoothie.- says Dr. Nisha Maheshwari. It helps in avoiding your skin getting dry and also clears acne-causing bacteria out of your body. Drinking water consistently can help in reducing the acne and pimples on your face.
Rich diet-
Processed food is rich in carbs thus promoting acne and pimples.- says Dr. Nisha Maheshwari. She also says to opt for seasonal foods whenever you are in a mood for snacking. They are the best source of vitamins and minerals that keeps your skin healthy and radiant. Avoid consuming spicy and oily food instead opt for a low carbs diet.
Avoid changing your products that oftenÂ
Always stick to a single product. Changing too much of your face products every now and then is bad for your overall quality of skin.- say, Dr. Maheshwari. Be consistent with your products. Constantly changing your face wash or moisturizer can cause allergic reactions or uneven skin tone.Â
Less stress more exercise
Studies, exam stress can take a toll on teenagers. So try to exercise or meditate at least 3-4 a week.- says Dr. Maheshwari. In the future, you will face a lot more stress of the job, finance, personal issues so to tackle those stress start adopting exercise in your daily routine. A peaceful mind reflects on your skin making it more radiant and glowing.
Clean your face before going to bed
Most teenagers don’t know the importance of a nighttime skincare routine. Always clean and moisturize your face before going to bed.- says Dr. Maheshwari. Even if you are tired or busy. A clean and moisturized face can do wonders to your skin while you are sleeping. Adopting a nighttime routine may help you to reverse the signs of aging once you cross 30’s.Â
Always wear sunscreen every time you go out
Always wear sunscreen at least half an hour before you go in the sun. You will be thanking yourself in your late 40’s. It can promote maintaining the level of collagen on your face.- says Dr. Nisha. Plus Uv rays are quite harmful to your skin causing hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone at a very tender age. Sunscreen keeps your skin protected from such harmful rays.Â
Exfoliate
Teenagers don’t need that many skincare products. Keep it minimal. A herbal face wash, sunscreen, moisturizer along face scrub would be enough. Avoid using a lot of chemicals on your skin.- says Dr. Maheshwari. Do try to exfoliate your skin to get rid of dead skin cells that can cause a pimple, blackheads as well as whiteheads.Â
